Study: Non-Controversial Source of Stem Cells Found For Research

By Linda Young, January 8, 2007 (All Headline News)- A breakthrough in producing stem cells for research from amniotic fluid rather than aborted fetuses might be good news for people suffering from disease, including Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. That new source of stem cells for research could lead to more research being done.

Currently such research is limited by law because of the controversy over the source of stem cells...

Boston Life Sciences Acquires Rights to Develop and Commercialize Promising Phase II Spinal Cord Injury Drug, Cethrin(R), in Exclusive Worldwide License

January 5, 2007 (DrugNewswire)- Boston Life Sciences, Inc. (NASDAQ:BLSI) , a biotechnology company focused on diagnostic and therapeutic products for central nervous system disorders, announced today that it has entered into an exclusive, worldwide license with BioAxone Therapeutic Inc. of Montreal, Canada, to develop and commercialize Cethrin as well as other specified compounds subject to the license to treat acute spinal cord injury (SCI) and other serious central nervous system disorders.
